毛蚶与青蚶精子超微结构及其所反映的蚶科进化关系

Spermatozoon Ultrastructure of Scapharca subcrenata and Barbatia virescens and Its Implications for Evolutionary Relationship in Arcidae

  • 摘要: 应用透射电镜技术,比较研究了毛蚶与青蚶精子的超微结构。毛蚶精子顶体为圆锥形,约为核长的1/2;精核无核前窝,具核后窝;中段横切面常见5个(偶见4个)线粒体环绕于中心粒周围;精子末段由轴丝及包绕轴丝的质膜组成,轴丝为典型的“9+2”结构。青蚶精子顶体轴向纵切面呈伞状,覆盖于细胞核前端,约为核长的1/3;精核具核前窝和核后窝;中段横切面常见有5个(偶见6个)线粒体环绕于中心粒周围;末段结构同毛蚶。顶体的形态、核前窝和核后窝的有无、中段线粒体的数量等是探索蚶科动物种间进化关系的线索。

     

    Abstract: The spermatozoa ultrastructure of Scapharca subcrenata and Barbatia virescens was comparatively investigated by transmission electron microscope.The acrosome of Scapharca subcrenata spermatozoon is conical in shape,about half the length of the nucleus;there is no front nuclear pocket,but a posterior nuclear pocket exists;five (occasionally four) mitochondria are seen surrounding the distal centriole of the mid-piece;the end-piece of the sperm consists of the axoneme and its surrounding cytoplasm,and the axoneme has a typical "9+2" structure.The longitudinal section of the acrosome of Barbatia virescens is umbrella-like in shape,and the acrosome covers the front of nucleus,and is about 1/3 the length of the nucleus.The nucleus has both front and posterior nuclear pockets;five (occasionally six) mitochondria are seen surrounding the distal centriole in the cross sections;the structure of the end-piece of Barbatia virescens is the same as that of Scapharca subcrenata.In Arcidae,the morphology of acrosome,the presence of the front and posterior nuclear pockets,and the number of mitochondria in the mid-piece are the clues for understanding of the interspecifically evolutionary relationship.
