Abstract: This paper discussed the sex steroid hormone effect on vocal behavior and neural circuits in songbirds.It reviewd the effect of sex steroid hormone in vocal learning of young bird and song plasticity of adult bird in the level of neuron,circuits and behavior.We described new data in this fields in domestic and abroad,and have important value for the future research in the neural mechanism of learning and memory of animals.
