Abstract: Investigation and observation the Black-necked Crane (Grus nigricollis) during spring, summer, and autumn every year from 1998 to 2012. The results of 15 years of investigation and observation shows that the number of the Black-necked Cranes was on an increasing and steady trend. The population of the Black-necked Cranes was only 2 in 1998 and had increased to 32 in 2012. The distribution of the Black-necked Cranes was originally in some parts of the wetlands around Sugan Lake and extended through all the wetlands and along the Harten River.
