Studies of Silkworm (Bombyx mori) Nucleic Acids Ⅰ.Isolation and Purification of DNA by the Method of Chloroform and Detergent

The preparation of DNA was carried out ftom the pupa and larve of silkworm by the method of chloroform and detergent.The DNA preparation obtained was determined to have little or no RNA and protein.DNA is double stranded high molecule.The result of these experiments showed that the DNA preparation was capable of transformation.
